Here I Lay

I am trying to not throw up. I didn't think I was this sick. I went to class all day and stuck it through, just because I could. Then the moment my last class is over: BAM!! I start feeling more sick. Not too bad, though. I went home and started eating some crackers, come to find out that eating is a bad idea. I do okay as long as I don't eat or move around a lot. Hopefully I'll wake up in the morning and be miraculously healed. I'm glad this is all it is. I was able to go to (and pay attention in) all of my classes today, and my class tomorrow is canceled. I can even do my homework in bed, so it works perfectly.

I have a confession. I love my statistics class. Don't tell anyone! It is going really well. I like being able to plug in numbers and get an answer. It's so easy! Maybe that's what I'll go into. I'm not opposed to doing more math. Hmm. Something to think about.

Dear Computer World

I would like to write a post, but I think I'm about out of power. I could go get my power cord, but I don't want to. I'll just try to type quickly.

School is intense. All of my classes require a lot of reading, probably assuming that the other classes won't. Thus, most of my homework time is taken by reading. Sadly, I do not learn best in this manner. I have to read everything more than once if I really want it to stick. But despite all that, I am loving my classes.

And now it's going to die.

Logan is Home!

My good friend Logan has been in Iraq with the Marines. Late last night I got a text that he was home! I wasn't expecting him to be back for at least a few more days. He's not really home home, but he's at least in the United States. I'll be able to see him in a couple weeks. He's like a brother to me. I have to admit, however, that we weren't always friends.

My year in fourth grade was a pretty normal one. Classroom, teacher, students. Then on one fateful day, there was a new kid. We didn't get new kids very often. This one's name was Logan Morlock. He seemed pretty normal, but before you knew it, we were having a fight about who had the bigger buckteeth. What a way to start out a relationship! From that point on we pretty much grew up together. We lived in the same little town and rode the same bus for a lot of the time. Being the same age and having the same interests, we saw a lot of each other. I think that buckteeth conversation had a huge effect on how we felt about each other because we didn't become friends until junior high. I think. It was a gradual process.

Logan and I know each other so well. We grew up together! We've seen the best and the worst sides of each other. We've been there for good and bad times. We've had a lot of fun throughout the years. We even look kind of alike, so sometimes when we are together people ask if we are siblings. We've come to the point that we just tell them that we are. It's easier. I love this guy, and I've missed him a ton. Welcome home, big brother.

Of All the Luck, Mine is Good.

I had a good day today.

First of all, I made myself get up at about 7 so I could get stuff done and not be rushed. I got a lot done! It was so nice. Even though I got up early, though, I was running late to class. On my way out to my car I realized that I had never turned off my iPod, so it had been on all night. If I couldn't listen to my music, how would I survive the ten minute drive to school? But lo and behold, my iPod still had battery. I got to drive those ten minutes in musical bliss.

I got to the parking lot - the farthest one away from the buildings besides the parking out by the Marriot. All of the spots were taken! I didn't have time to drive to the other parking lot, let alone walk to my classroom. But, wait. What's that? Two more open spots! I quickly took one and walked to class. Then I realized that I had forgotten my notebook for that class, but guess what! We watched a movie. It all worked out so well. I love it when things work out so well.

Good News and All That

Okay. First of all, I'm going to write about dear Lindsey Fantastic. Lately I have been seeing her everywhere, even though she is forever away. There is a girl in one of my classes who kind of has the same personality as Lindsey, and is almost as stylish. I have also been thinking of ways to be creative, which I blame on her. I know there was another reason, but I don't remember what it is.

I was talking to my brother Logan yesterday. (He's not my real brother, but I've known him for longer than I've known most of my siblings, so we pretty much just consider each other family.) He's in Iraq with the Marines, which is awesome, but I found out that he's coming home extremely soon, and I am SO EXCITED! He can't tell me exactly when, but I know that it's a lot sooner that I originally thought. I can hardly wait.

Update: I forgot to write this. When we were talking online he said, "well I gotta go little sis. Love you tons. Be patient." It almost made me cry because I was so happy.

Uuinni's Wedding Updates

I just found out today that Whitney is getting married in Utah. Hooray! I'm so excited! I need to make sure I can be there. I think my family is planning on going on vacation, but I don't know the details. I'm trying to get a hold of my mom so that we can work it all out. I am so excited for her! Her reception is still going to be on the other side of the country, but I'm okay with that. I will take what I can get.

Yay for Whitney!

Whitney is now engaged. I knew that it was going to happen. Matt called me and asked for her ring size (Which I didn't know and couldn't figure out), but I didn't know it was going to happen this soon, but I'm happy it did. Matt and Whitney were going "on a walk," and when they were leaving, Matt kept giving me a look. I knew it was going to happen. Sure enough, when they got back, Whitney had a ring on her finger! Hooray! I'm sad to see my last girl go (all of my girls are either moved or married), but now I have a good reason to make myself more friendly. And I'm looking forward to hopefully helping Whitley plan everything.

Alone in the Dark

For the past two weeks I have been roommate-less because all of my roommates were on vacation. I know that where I live is relatively safe, but it was still a little scary. There was this poster on the living room wall, but it never really stuck very well. One night when I came home, the breeze from the door opening knocked the poster down. It was dark, and I couldn't see what happened, but I heard something move in my living room. Thankfully I hadn't come home alone, so I had the courage to check what it was. For the next night or two I was still so freaked out that when I went to bed I would lock my bedroom and shower door and had an escape plan in mind, just in case. Thankfully two of my roommates came home already today! No one was supposed to be back until tonight. I was so glad when I heard the key in the lock this morning.

I have an idea of what I could be for Halloween this year. A pirate! I have some gaucho pants that would be perfect. That's a start! I also have a bandanna (or a few), but I'm not sure if it will fit right yet. This is also a good excuse to buy/make more gold jewelery! I've never owned -or had the desire to own- giant hoop earrings, but I think this is a good reason. I'm trying to think of what else to go with it, like what to do for shoes (I'm not going barefoot) and a top (I'm thinking red and white long sleeve striped shirt, but I want to put somewhat of a modern twist to it). I would like to thank my uuinnis for instilling me with the Halloween bug. I'm pretty excited about this year. I hope my new roommates like Halloween too! (One thing I have to say is that this year I won't have to subject myself to creepy, scary movies. I'm not going to miss that too much.)

Na Na Na Na, The Jones' Family

Oh, I almost forgot. I went home to the Jones' today, and I found out when Jekka is coming home (even though I'm not supposed to know), and I found out that Mandi is coming then too. Hooray! Sleepover in the making. I also found out that Dave is coming home next week, and he'll be living at the Jones' again. I only hang out with him when we're both with the Jones' or both staying at their house, but when I do, it's a blast. I'm excited. The clan is getting closer to being reunited!

110 Degrees

Over the weekend I went with Arden down to St. George for a wedding. We left right after I was done with work on Friday. We drove (well, he drove and I slept) all the way down until we got to In 'N' Out, and we had to stop since there isn't one around here. So good! The other people we knew weren't going to be there for a while, so we went on a self-guided tour of the city. It's really cool. The last time I was there I was in the canyon for hiking, and the time before that I was too young to remember what's there. It's a pretty place.

The next morning was the wedding. I waited outside the temple with a couple of friends and got to know them a lot better. It was hot, but a beautiful day. The sky was clear and blue and everything was green. I hung out while they took pictures, then we went to the luncheon. So much fun! I love our buddies. The night before no one got very much sleep, so we crashed on the couches that they had there until we were kicked out. Then we got to make the drive to (drum roll please)... Nevada! It was so hot. I was glad that the reception was indoor. We all played games, blew bubbles and watched (or participated in ;) ) a great dance, and then decided it was time to go. There were five of us that had to drive all the way back home, and it was late. Arden and I were in the same car, so we talked the whole way home and we both stayed awake! I was so glad.

I started teaching private lessons again today. One of the lessons is for two boys that I taught three or four weeks ago, and their mom requested me again because I knew what there goals were and how they swim, so it cut out a lot of evaluation time. My next lesson is for two sisters who swim well and just need to work on technique. My next lesson was a no-show, so I don't know how that one will be, but it was nice to have a break today. The last one I teach is for a boy who has mild to moderate hearing loss. I think that's why his mom put him in private lessons, but I think he could benefit from being in a class setting. I'll work with him and do my best, though. I want to have him swimming on his own by the end of the week.

Things I Think Are Funny at the Pool

1) Old women in bikinis
2) Old men in speedos
3) Pregos in bikinis
4) Parents who think they're exempt from having to obey the rules
5) Little kids who hit on the lifeguards
6) Old people who hit on the lifeguards
7) Overzealous lifeguards - no joke. There's one who always looks super stressed out, even if nothing bad is happening. One of these days she's going to be in the middle of a rotation and have a nervous breakdown. I kind of hope I'm there to see it.
8) Kids who wear all white to the pool. Then it gets wet.
9) Ten minute breaks. They always turn into non-breaks. But they do make people leave!
10) ... I'll come up with the rest later.

Baby, baby, how was I supposed to know?

I am babysitting at this very moment. All the kids are asleep except for the youngest, and he wouldn't settle down for me! Finally I realized that there was another person in the house who the baby LOVES, so I got him and he's doing a much better job than I was. Yay for brothers. Now the baby is almost asleep... Nobody move. Or breathe.

I Work With Good People

As a lifeguard/swim teacher, I am constantly wearing a swimsuit or short-shorts and a tank top. There is no hiding anything! Now, I don't see myself as being overweight, but I know that there are some pounds that I could lose. I'm not as fit as I once was, and I have no good excuse. I also work with high school girls who are as skinny as twigs, so the comparison makes me feel a little bigger than I really am. Tonight I rotated to where my friend Mo was, and the first thing she said was, "You're so tiny!" I didn't expect that at all, especially because she is smaller than me. She went on to explain that she was watching me (in a non-creeper way) while I was sitting across the pool, and she decided that I'm skinny. What a sweetheart to tell me that! That's one thing I love about that job. Pretty much everyone is cool to each other. Everyone gets complimented, which is needed in such a potentially insecure environment (You know how many people I see in bikinis who shouldn't be wearing them? They also make me feel better about myself. I at least know to cover up so the extra me isn't everywhere).

Thinking about it, though, I must look pretty hot in my short-shorts because yesterday a three year-old asked his brother, "Can I invite her to share my pizza?" That says it all.

Mm, Mice

Sometimes in the morning my mom and I like to go swimming. It's always super early, like at six or seven a.m. (Okay, not that early, but it always feels like it when my alarm goes off). It's a good way to start the day, and having each other makes us more motivated to go because sleeping in doesn't go unnoticed. At the pool where we go (which also happens to be the place where I work) there is a lap pool and a current pool (lazy river) which are both open for swimming in the mornings. We like to go to the river and swim against the current because it's less crowded and not as boring.

Today I was just swimming along, minding my own business and thinking about how these old ladies shouldn't be passing me, even though they're walking and not swimming. They stopped and were talking to a couple of guys up ahead, and I stopped to get a couple of breaths of air. The guys said, "Um, a mouse is in the water in that area." WHAT?! I couldn't see it anywhere, and neither could the other ladies. We were looking around and the guys pointed to me and said, "It's right behind you!" There it was, swimming along right behind me, doggy paddling to poke its nose above the water so it could breathe. My mom had hopped out and said, "Oh, how cute! Look at it go," while I was saying, "Hey, lifeguard! Grab a net! Hurry!" I was pretty grossed out, but I followed the mouse so that they could take it out. I was done swimming after that. I know that it was probably okay, but I took a long, hot shower just in case. Maybe I should've swallowed some chlorine too...

I Am a Terrible Person

Spoiler alert: This post is about dating, so some readers may wish to stop reading now.

I'm dating someone, and I am having a blast. Things are going really well and just the way I like it. He's a great guy.

Here's where the terrible part comes in. I'm not so good at telling other interested guys that I'm dating someone (Not that they're rampant, but that's beside the point. Although dictionary.com defines rampant as "growing luxuriantly, as weeds." Funny). Take today, for example. One of my guyfriends just recently moved up to the area where I live. Today we were facebook chatting, and he asked if he could come over. Now, I know that he's interested, so I didn't want to have that happen, but he hasn't said right out that he's interested, so I felt awkward about telling him that I'm dating someone. Doing that kind of thing makes me feel like I sound like an arrogant girl who thinks every man is falling at her feet (thank you for that, Christian). I told him I was hanging out with my girls, which is true. Now, my question is, how do I better handle that situation? I am not in the least ashamed to be dating this someone, and I'm definitely okay with people knowing. I'm just not so good about dealing with stuff like this. Help! Even if you're secretly following my blog, please feel free to comment. I know you're there, and I need your opinion.

Now, if that last statement didn't make me sound conceded, I don't know what will.

Fourth of July Weekend

My weekend was awesome! On Saturday morning my family made brunch: pancakes, eggs, sausage and bacon. It was so good, and we had a blast making it together. We did a brunch instead of breakfast because we decided that we wanted to sleep in, and no one got up until 10 or 10:30. It was nice.

Since I work at a pool, I had to work that afternoon. It was a 7 hour shift! I usually only get in a few hours at a time at most. It was long, but it was good! I really enjoyed it.

Saturday night Whitney, Megan and I got to do some time to hang out. We went to see the Stadium of Fire fireworks, which ended up being a bit disappointing, but still fun. We played with fireworks like sparklers and poppers, and threw some of our flowers in the pool and watched them go off there. Speaking of which, I still haven't retrieved them... I will on Friday if they're still there. And then - get this - we had an interpretive dancing session. I'd post the video, but our awesomeness would be too awesome for the public view. It was amazing. I love the uuinnis. And I miss all of the uuinnis.

Jen rented The Little Rascals, so on Sunday after church all of us roomies, plus Megan, watched it together. It's been forever since I've seen that movie! "We got a dollar, we got a dollar, we got a dollar, hey, hey, hey hey!" I really liked it.

Later that night Arden and I made Navajo Tacos for dinner with some friends. Okay, he told me how to make them, and I followed his directions. :) They were good! I was so full after. The new member of our bishopric and his wife were there. I really like his wife! They're both very cool. I'm excited to get to know them better.

Job Hunting

My job at the pool hasn't been too great. They're keeping my hours really low, and half the time when I go in to work there's lightening, so we have to close down and I don't get to work. My main source of hours has been teaching lessons (which I'm not a huge fan of), but this current session I didn't even get that. Next week I teach two hours a day of private lessons. Gross. No one likes to give private lessons. Because of this course of events, I have decided that I need a new job. I absolutely LOVE lifeguarding, but if needs be I'll quit. I'm hoping I can do both and get in a lot of hours. I have a great dad who has helped me look for stuff, so through him and some other means I've found a few jobs I can apply for. The hardest thing for me is actually applying, because then I might actually have to decide if I want the job or not. It's now coming to the point that I don't have a choice. I need to take what I can get. Thank goodness for SuperDad!

Dream Theater

Dream Theater is one of my favorite bands. I love their music! It's kind of an alternative metal band with some of the greatest, most musically complex musicians of all time. Right now my brother is falling asleep to Dream Theater's new album, Black Clouds & Silver Linings. Just saying.

Oh, I Almost Forgot

At one point when we were wave running, I went into the dock to see how my sister was doing. When I got back out, the only people I saw were strangers. My first thought was (insert German accent here), "Family, where are you? I need you!"

I rode around for a little bit until I saw them, and in my head I heard "We are here! We are here!"

"Ah, I have found you.'

Ch-ch-ch-changes!

Once upon a time it was my birthday. And what did I receive? A lot of cool stuff! But I do have to say that one of my favorite gifts was the mix CD from Megan. I listened to it over and over. One sad day, though, I left it in my friend's Jeep, thinking that I could go get it later. I didn't. I have missed it! Megan, you're super good at putting music together, but I guess you already knew that.

Last week my family had a stay-cation. It was such a blast! We went boating one day and tried to water ski, but the water was so cold. I couldn't get up, as usual (thanks to Ryan's gf Michelle for the tips on Sunday). It was still fun, though. I love boating. Someday I'm going to get a big boat and drive it for hours and hours. The next day we went wave running. I loved that too. Those of us who wanted to got to rent one for an hour, which ended up feeling like a perfect amount of time. I love the lake.

I've been thinking lately about relationships. There are a few friends that I've had for years, and our friendship will always be the same. Some people I haven't known for very long, but it feels like I've known them forever. Some other friends I have had for just a short amount of time, and, for one reason or another, are then gone and not thought of very often. It's interesting to me. I'm friends with some people now that I never would've thought I would be friends with. It sort of makes me wonder who I will make friends with next.

Meese

I love a band. Their name is Meese. They have just put out a new music video, which is actually two videos put together in sort of a cool way. I wasn't super impressed with the video, but I really like their new song. I don't know how many people will enjoy it as much as I do, but I'm hoping at least Megan will. Let me know.

Hola! I'm trying out this "text to blog" thing, so we'll see how it works.

When I was driving today, I saw two little girls modeling motorcycle helmets, poses and all. It was so cute! Then I got thinking about why some things are cute and other things aren't. What makes something cute? I don't know.

Home Again, Home Again

It's good to be home again. This is my second week home in a row, except for weekends. On weekends I like to go back up to my apartment. Being here isn't bad, except that it's louder here and I'm not used to being on anyone else's schedule but my own. I'll get used to it. Being with my family is pretty enjoyable.

Work is good too. I only wish I had more hours. Teaching lessons is even going well, and it's something I don't really enjoy. The kids are all learning. Some will be staying at the level they are in now, but they've all learned and grown. I hope that the parents don't un-train them by not ever taking them swimming until they're in lessons again next year. It happens, and I feel bad for the kids. Lifeguarding is awesome, as always. There are so many guards this year! My tan is already growing. It's pretty hot.

I need to re-connect with my friends in the area where my parents live. It's harder because I'm not going to the single's ward down here, so I don't see anyone. There are a few people I could call, but I feel weird doing so without them knowing in advance. I'm sure they wouldn't care.

And Then I Yawned

I'm tired. That's pretty much all.

Okay, not really. But I feel like complaining about being tired is a-okay.

It's been a good week. On Monday I started working at the pool again, and it was awesome! I was only teaching swim lessons for a couple of days, which was nice. At the en of last year I got out of the habit of wearing sunscreen because I was so tan, so on Monday I didn't put any on. Bad idea. I got super sunburned! It's a lot better now, though. It was a bad choice. Since then I've either been wearing sunscreen or aloe vera, whatever is the most helpful for the moment. But the nice thing about it is that I'm getting tan super fast! And my hair is even changing colors already. I'll be blond in no time.

Amanda is married! Weird... I should have pictures from the engagement up on fb soon. Maybe I'll post some here too. We'll see. But my camera is upstairs and I don't feel like getting it. She was beautiful!

For my birthday, Megan made me a CD. I love it! I listen to it all the time. Megan is the Music Mix Queen! Thank you, Megs. You are awesome.

For now, that is all. I hope that I remember to write more later. But the movie I was watching while I was writing is over, and I'm going to go to bed. Good night!

20 is a Magic Number

It really is! I am having a blast, and I've only been 20 for a week. I've been able to spend a lot of time with friends and family. And I'm not gonna lie: I got some pretty cool stuff. I also rearranged the living room (again), and I did it all by myself because it was a spur-of-the-moment idea. I feel very proud. Of course, I asked for validation from the one and only Hot & Spicy, and she gave it to me heartily. Megan gave me shelves for the living room wall, and they're the exact same ones that Amanda had up before, so I was able to put them up right away. They were perfect. I also decided that I really like getting cards for my birthday. They don't have to be anything amazing; I just really like the notes people put in them. They make me happy.

The semester is over. It has been for a while, but I haven't written since then. I did so much better than I thought I would! It's the Sudoku, I tell ya. It kept me from falling asleep in class. It was also the fact that I had awesome teachers. They were all usually pretty great. The falling asleep problem just resulted from my lack of going to sleep at a decent time every night. Sleep sometimes feels like a waste of time to me.

Payson Pool is now open! Hooray! I love that place. It's brand new, so it's super nice, and there are a lot of fun things to do. I don't start working there until next Monday, but I might stop in if I can. I am so excited for summer.

The Checklist

Ya, this is hilarious. But I'm also seeing it happen over and over, especially being here in P-Town. Too many people just wanting to go to the next step in their lives and not caring to see what could happen in between.

Underneath the Blacktop

Right now I'm in Moab with some of my favorite people ever. This is my photo summery of what we've done.

There were three vehicles being driven out: one RV and two Jeeps.



Dave and I were driving the Big Brother Jeep. It's pretty cool.

The next day Dave had to do his taxes (haha...), so the rest of us went to find a park. We found the coolest one ever! It was full of musical instruments.

Next we went to Arches, and it was super windy! But still as beautiful as ever. We also became Junior Rangers. I was pretty excited.




Today we went Jeeping. :D Mandi and I were in one Jeep with a few of the kids. Linda decided to take some cool pictures, too.



It was a ton of fun! I have a lot of videos, too, but I don't want this post to go on forever and ever. Plus, I think there are only a couple people who would watch and enjoy them. But they are fantabulous (that was for you, Mandi). Yay Moab! I love it. I'll get to drive tomorrow, and will perhaps have more to blog about. Hopefully nothing TOO exciting. ;) I'm out!

I love music and stuff

The Fray is coming again. And I'm going. Hooray! Anberlin is also coming again. I'm still deciding about that one.

What a busy week! On Saturday morning Gordon and I went to Temple Square to do some stuff there, like watch the Joseph Smith movie. It was awesome, as always! After that we went to the Festival of Colors at the Hari Temple in Spanish Fork. We got there at 3:45 and met two of the uuinnis and friends and watched the dancing they had going on. By 5:30, when the colors were thrown, the place was packed and people were still coming. I heard about people parked almost a mile away! It was so crazy. There was so much colored chalk, too. When it was thrown it was impossible to breathe, as Megan had warned, so I ended up with color lung. It has healed for me now. I hope it's the same for everyone else who was there. I still keep finding pink powder everywhere I go. :)

Yesterday I donated plasma and almost passed out. I had left, but then I went back in to change my next appointment, and I started feeling dizzy. They took good care of me, though. I lived and got free crackers.

My computer also decided to pass out yesterday. It had been getting slower and slower over the last couple of weeks, and last night I was doing homework, and all of a sudden my computer froze up and beeped at me. It's done this before, and sometimes if I just wait it will come back to life, but this time it didn't, so I finally just powered it down to deal with it later. When I finally got around to it, all of the information stored on my computer was in the wrong place, so some programs wouldn't work until they were reinstalled. I didn't do too much with that, but I found my information and backed up everything I didn't already have backed up to CD just in case it disappeared while I was trying to fix my computer. This took a few hours. I then restarted my computer, and surprise! everything was just like it had been before. Firefox remembered my tabs from when my computer froze, and my documents were all where they were supposed to be. It really was just like an April Fools joke. My computer thinks it's so clever. Too bad it got the day wrong. :) I think I'm going to go get my computer checked out today. BYU is doing a free PC check today. Hooray! Perfect timing. And now everything is all backed up for sure, so if they do anything, I'm a-okay.

Need I Say More?

Nameless. Yes, Nameless.

I can't think of what to title this post, so I'm putting it off.

I am doing all kinds of new things. First off: I got a gym pass through special means. Meaning I have good friends. Thank you, Rachel! I'm already taking advantage of it, which means I'm in a constant world of hurt. Give it a few days and my body will be more used to it. I went to a class called shadow boxing and it practically killed me! But it made me feel so good that I'll be going back. Very awesome.

I also filled out a bracket for Men's Basketball. Cheers for Torie! It's the first time I've ever done it. Now it's up to the teams to follow what I decided.

I just realized that it's after midnight; I didn't mean to stay up this late. Even though it's fairly early for me... I'm trying to change that. Cross your fingers.

P.S. Mandi, I might be going to Moab! I realized Spring Break falls on the week I finish school. I just have to find out when my finals are. Hooray! I really hope I can. I miss you.

The Status is Not Quo

Dr. Horrible party = lots of fun. We even had a few Dr. Horrible newbies in the crowd who have now become converted, and that was the goal. We also had a projector, and that makes everything better! I think later my taco friend and I are going to watch Dollhouse with it. Very awesome.

So last night I was just driving along, minding my own business, just after picking up a friend for Dr. Horrible, when suddenly, SUDDENLY the breaks stopped working! No lie. The worked one second, and the next they didn't. I was putting my foot on the pedal and there was no resistance. My first thought was if maybe I was pushing the gas instead of the break, but I checked and my foot was definitely on the break. It's amazing how quickly you can do things with all that adrenaline. I ended up shifting down to stop for the rest of the way home since I was close and shifting down worked. This morning we found out that the break fluid was all gone, so hopefully that's the only problem. But the whole experience FREAKED ME OUT. Here's the moral of the story, kids. Let your poor friends miss out if they have to, but never, never go to pick them up. It causes all sorts of problems.

Trail Mix

Last night I went to the Draper Temple with my ward. It was awesome! Everything was so pretty, and the temple is huge. The Celestial Room was breathtaking; I didn't want to leave. If anyone is going before the dedication, let me know. I would love to tag along.

I'm thinking about changing my major. Just thinking; I don't know what I'd change it to. It's a little bit stressful. I think TR is good, but I don't know if I'd like doing it full time. And I thought I had it all figured out, too.

Also, I'm kind of fed up with Utah. I don't know what it is, but today I just want to go somewhere else. Anywhere. Road trip, anyone? And I'm fairly serious. Lets go. Or at least somewhere else in Utah! Not Provo or anywhere close. Southern Utah? Or maybe north of Salt Lake. I need people and input.

Sun: What Happiness Feels Like

Yesterday it felt like summer. Today it should too. Tomorrow it's supposed to snow. It's official: I'm moving somewhere warmer.

I went to International Cinema last night for the first time. So intense! I thank you, Megan, for bringing me out of my misery. It filled a hole I didn't know I had.

Over the weekend I watched some of the greatest kids ever! They are kind of like younger siblings to me, but they listen to me more than they would their sister. Actually, that's a lie; they used to listen to me more. One of them now doesn't listen to me at all. He just sprays me with a water bottle. But I still love them. On Friday two of the kids were gone, so the oldest one and I watched Lost because we realized we were on the same episode (I'm now done with the fourth season, by the way). On Saturday we went to see Bolt. It's a really cute movie for kids. We also threw a brownie/ice cream party, just for fun, and everyone had a couple friends come over. We put on a movie upstairs and had Rock Band going on downstairs. It was pretty awesome.

Schools shouldn't have this much power over their students. We need a Spring Break.

Oh! And as much as I hate snow...

...this is pretty awesome.

I Got Rythm, I Got Music

Who could ask for anything more? We finally have Amanda's piano in our apartment! It's been here for less than half a day and already all four of us have played it. We even had a singalong. It was beyond awesome, and I look forward to more.

The other day I said I curled my hair. It doesn't happen very often, so here's a picture for your enjoyment:
Yep. That's it. I might start doing it more often, if I miraculously start getting up earlier in the morning.

Yesterday I went dress shopping with my sister. She's going to Sweethearts this weekend and already had a dress, but we wanted to see what else we could find. We didn't find another one that would work for her (although she did look pretty hot in one that we found). I'm picky when it comes to dresses. If I ever go to another formal, though, I think I would love to wear my dress from my Junior Prom. It still has to be my favorite.

I need to take more pictures of everything.

My Lindsey Fantastic is gone. Gone, gone, gone, until I see her again.

I have a new addiction. It's called Lost, and the cure is unknown.

Not a lot of blogging material has happened; thus the lack of blogs. I curled my hair today and LOVED IT! If it didn't take so long I'd do it more often. I am also pretty much over fluff lung. An epidemic swept through Provo, and a ton of people got it. I'm glad I had it when I did instead of, for example, this week. Too much to do.

I know I always blog about the weather, but it's very important to me! It's been a warmer week again. We have even had a lot of rain! Crazy Utah. I am definitely looking forward to April or May, because after that is summer, and we all know that I love summer!

It's warming up! I can go outside in just a hoodie. It is so awesome! I am really counting down the months until summer. Soon enough I'm going to be counting down the weeks, then the days... Hooray!

I've been hearing from a lot of people lately that I haven't talked to for a long time. It's a lot of fun to see what everyone has been up to and to see where they are in their lives. It gives me some motivation to do more in most cases. Okay, and some people make me feel pretty darn good about myself. Just kidding! Sort of. More kidding that not. I love talking to people, with all their different exciting things that they do, or don't do, as the case may be.

So about my New Years resolutions. I've decided to scrap them. Badhorse didn't approve of my plan, I love my arms and legs, sometimes I just have to get drunk (especially with all the competition at BYU; it's very stressful), organization is for dorks (yes, I just called you a dork) and learning is harder than I thought it would be. So my new resolution is to come up with resolutions for next year that are easy and don't make too big of a difference. who needs to progress anyway?

Should Old Acquaintance Be Forgot...

It is the new year. Hooray! Good time to think about everything that's happened and start over new. So, here are my New Year resolutions:

Get rich - I've come up with two plans to do this. The first is to befriend a rich old person. Then we all know what happens. The second, and more likely of the two, is to rob a bank. I'm still waiting to hear some details from Badhorse on how to do this one, but when it comes I'm going to need some backup. Any takers?

Lose weight - I've heard the quickest way to do this is to cut off an appendage. No diet or exercise required.

Quit smoking and drinking - I can stop whenever I want. Just like I can stop breathing or facebooking.

Get organized - no more clothes, shoes, books, homework, computers, plates, cups, markers, movies, useless electric cords or too-old coupons on the floor. That might take a lot of work. Or I might leave it for next year.

Learn something new - Although I might try to avoid this one. This should be a challenge, especially while going to school. But I will consider it an accomplishment of sorts.

That's it for now. I'll keep everyone posted if I come up with any new ones. It's only the second day of the year, after all.
